Gribin Facet

A small but compact crag which has a massive variety of climbing across the grades including the hardest route in the valley Rare Lichen which is an extremely bold and technical E9.

The Climbing

The climbing on this wall is very varied and has everything from slabs, wall to gnarly cracks. Whilst the recessed slab area has some easy climbing it is not the best of this type of climbing to be found in the area. The other style of climbing are far better, Llyn at HS, Yob Route at HVS are good and Monolith Crack at VS is utterly hideous tight chimney, that puts the fear of claustrophobia to an all new level!

Farther right the classic Flake Wall and Herefords crack are well worth a visit if you are passing having done a route on Idwal Slabs and have some time to spare.
